How is Lumo different from Photomath or AI answer apps?
Lumo never gives you the final answer. It uses evidence-based Socratic tutoring — asking guiding hints until you understand it yourself — so you actually retain knowledge for tests.
What subjects does Lumo cover?
We currently support Math, Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), English & essays, world languages, and SAT/ACT test prep. New topics are added monthly based on community votes.
Can parents use Lumo too?
Absolutely! Parents can track their child's progress via the Sky View — visible stars show exactly what concepts have been mastered. Teachers can also use Lumo to reinforce classroom lessons at home.
Is my data safe and private?
We take privacy seriously. Lumo is COPPA compliant (under 13), stores no sensitive images, and you can delete your account anytime. We never sell data to advertisers.
